…’My mind sees in colours. My mind feels in non representative shapes. My mind expresses in coloured gesture. My mind does have not limit.
In Landscape of my mind series I paint my mind… colours, gestures are meaningful.’
Landscape of my Mind is the series in which Carolina Khouri explores a powerful language of colours and and their relationship in space. She focuses on: blue, red and white by giving them the full exposure on individual painting. Colour is the intervening substance through which impressions are conveyed to the senses. Minimalism as a way of expression focuses on the relationship of colour, perception and space. Each painting is dominated by one colour developing its intensity and activating the energy that comes through the particular colour. Inspiration for this series comes from Vajrayana School of Tibetan Buddhism meditation as well as language of colours in urban culture.
